Fred Phelps of the Westboro Baptist Church announced his group will protest at the funeral of Christina-Taylor Green who was gunned down in Tucson.

On Jan. 10, 2011, Fred Phelps, pastor of the Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka Kansas, issued a press release on the church’s “God hates fags” website announcing that the group will picket the funeral of 9-year-old Christina-Taylor Green, the little girl who was shot to death in the mass murder in front of a Safeway store in Tucson Arizona.

This makes me sick to my stomach to know there are people out there who claim to be Christians and act in such an unchristian like manner. I do not agree with Catholic doctrines or beliefs nor do I like the idea that many priests are getting away with the sex abuse on miners but God did not call judgement on this little girl these people know not God's love nor His ways. They were wearing shirts stating God hates fags God does not hate anyone John 3:16 "God so loved the world" Jesus died for our sins though God does not approve of the homosexuals life style this does not mean he hates the homosexual he calls all people to repentance it is a sin but it is of no greater of a sin than any other sin. All sin are leveled at the cross! Period! Jesus is love and to be a follower we must show the love and mercy as well. Showing up at a little girls funeral and calling shouts of judgement no more shows love or mercy than Hitler pronouncing all Jews to be enemies of the state. Passing judgements on others is not our job we may not agree on others beliefs we are to show in the word of God were they err but never to condemn them. I have been judged for my beliefs from other denominations. I have been called not of God but those people are wrong the day will come when we all will be judged. It's time to start being more like Christ rather than acting like we are in gang warfare spouting shots of bigotry and hate it's time to love like Christ! "It's Time To Get Real"
