Reflections of A Life Time The Real Gift

Reflections of A Life Time
The Real Gift
Written by Robert Jeffery Davis

I got my Christmas gift early this year Josiah Rafael Davis a blessing from God. But more importantly I received a gift; in Jesus Christ being born in a manger. Jesus came and died for not just my sins but all our sins. Today a Savior, who is Messiah the Lord, was born for you in the city of David. (Luke 2:11 HCSB) Christmas is not about standing in long lines to get the hottest items or deals. It is not about getting something under a tree. It is about receiving the greatest gift of all. The gift of a babe wrapped up in swaddling clothes; God with us!  Then the angel told her: Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Now listen: You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will call His name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. (Luke 1:30-32 HCSB) Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet: See, the virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and they will name Him Immanuel, which is translated “God is with us.” (Matthew 1:22, 23 HCSB)
Always remember that God is "LOVE"
“For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16 HCSB) the gift of salvation the gift of Christ that is what Christmas is all about Charlie Brown. Joy to the world. Reflect on that today!

Reflections Of A Life Time If you was to go into battle with a sword would you let someone else swing it for you? Timothy 2:15

If you was to go into battle with a sword would you let someone else swing it for you?
Timothy 2:15 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

Reflections Of A Life Time If you say you Love someone do you show it or do you just say it? John 3:16

If you say you Love someone do you show it or do you just say it?

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Now how do you love Jesus?

John 14:15If ye love me, keep my commandments.

John 14:21He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

John 10:17Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

John 8:42Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

John 15:9As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

Reflections Of A Life Time Christmas Edition

Christmas Edition
(Just Becouse We Know The Truth Of Christmas Don't Be Legalistic Don't Let The Ones In Need Be A Statistic)
Deuteronomy 15:11
For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.
Christmas may not be the true birth of Christ Jesus but don't go as far to be so hung on that fact that we forget the season of giving is still a reason for the season.
What I'm saying here?
I'm saying this is the time were people are open to God's Love even though they hear the fables of Santa Clouse there is still a couse for us to take this opportunity to help others in need.Would not Jesus do that?
Of course he would we should do the same.
Legalistic or Legalism is putting rules above God and above human needs.
Yes Christmas has Pagan origins there is proof of that. Some knowing this truth will go as far to call other Christians who belive in this fable as truth, heathens or pagans. But guess what there is alot of good being done for others by these people. But alot of the ones who know the truth go around lashing out instead of going out and helping others. You can still bring honor to God on this day.It can still be for him as long as we go and do for others. We can still teach the truth about Christmas we can also glorify the Lord as well when we do these things.

Matthew 25:42-45
For I was an hungered, and ye gave me no meat; I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: 43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. 44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
I don't mind singing praises to his name "O come let us adore Him"
Becouse I'm adoreing Jesus not Mirthra or some other pagan sun god! As long as we know this Jesus will be the reason for the season Merry Christmas and God Bless!
